Una semana especial

Monday, in Salasaka,  was the traditional day of the "negros".
The "negros" are men painted in black that run across the hills screaming with a sward in their hands, celebrating the rebellion against the Spanish conquerors.
A day full of music and dances!

Tuesday was just a normal day with the kids at Katitawa.

Wednesday was a day out with the kids. We went to a swimming pool in Pelileo, "Don Moro".
The kids had a great time swimming with the volunteers and playing with the animals of the activity centre.

Thursday was the free day for the volunteers, so we went to the beautiful waterfall "Rosio" in Machay, near Banos.
We swam and had a picnic.
